CAT5 cable are classified according to the electrical performance of the twisted-pair cable and represent different quality levels.This type of cable is preferred for fast (100Mbps) Ethernet due to its high quality and low cost. It includes four copper unshielded twisted pair cables with RJ-45 connectors at the terminals.The types of CAT5 network cable increase the winding density, coated with a high quality insulation material, can support the frequency up to 100MHz, transmission speed up to 1000Mbps, mostly used for voice transmission, 1000BASE-T, 100BASE-T and 10BASE-T network.
